Destination Gotland and Gotland Promotion have spent them opening doors, bringing VISIT's technology to hotels, activity companies and small operators across the island who now reach guests they could not have reached alone. Around 200 local suppliers sell through their platform today.
They also chose not to settle for selling a crossing. Ferry, accommodation, activity and event arrive as one journey, so guests book Gotland rather than a series of separate things. It reflects a long-held belief that the island does better when everyone on it does better."

INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR

Brim Explorer

"Brim Explorer built its own ships because the ones it wanted did not exist. Five of them now, electric and hybrid, quiet enough that wildlife is met rather than chased.
Silence turned out to be the luxury. Guests hear the water, the birds and the guide, and remember it long after the trip home.
Two fully electric vessels arrive in 2027, with the rest of the fleet set to follow by 2030. Brim Explorer is not waiting for the industry to catch up."
