Mössebergs Kurort

High above the town of Falköping, Mössebergs Kurort has welcomed guests seeking wellness and relaxation since the 1800s. Its graceful architecture and peaceful setting reflect a long tradition of hospitality. Behind the scenes, the team runs on modern digital tools that help them keep that tradition alive without getting buried in admin.

At the heart of their setup is the VISIT Platform, to support everything from the first booking to the final check-out.

Less Time on the Backend, More Time with Guests

Before switching to VISIT’s All-in-One PMS (powered by VisBook), the team managed spa bookings, dining reservations and room availability across separate tools, making coordination more complex and time-consuming than it needed to be.

“We were looking for a PMS that would integrate well with our booking engine and reduce manual steps,” says Hampus Eckerlid, Revenue and Systems Manager. “VISIT has given us the freedom to spend more time with guests and less on backend tasks.”

Today, all elements of a guest stay can be handled in one flow. Guests can select spa treatments and dinner times as part of the booking process, which reduces the need for manual follow-up and makes preparation easier for the team before guests arrive.

“Because guests have already chosen their package details online, we can prepare before they arrive and meet their needs more precisely,” says Hampus.

One System Across Multiple Properties

The benefits of the setup extend beyond Mössebergs Kurort itself. The property is part of a group that also includes Hotel Ranten and Mössebergs Camping, and the same PMS from VISIT is in use across all three sites.

Having a shared system makes it straightforward to move staff between locations without additional training, and keeps service standards consistent across the group. “Having one system across hotels and our campsite means staff don’t have to learn something new every time they change location,” Hampus explains. “It’s more efficient and much easier to scale.”

It has also made onboarding new properties a more manageable process, even during busy periods.

"We're committed to improving the guest experience at all our properties. VISIT helps us achieve that by giving us more time, better tools, and a clearer picture of how we're doing."

Supporting Direct Bookings

Working alongside the PMS, VISIT’s Internet Booking Engine (powered by BookVisit) supports a booking journey that has helped grow direct reservations through the hotel’s own website. Guests can book their room, spa treatments and dinner in a single, joined-up flow, without needing to call or follow up separately.

“We’ve seen steady growth in online sales,” says Hampus. “People can book their room, spa, and dinner all at once, and it’s very clear and easy to use.”

As well as improving the experience for guests, this reduces reliance on third-party booking channels and the commission costs that come with them.

Clearer Data, Better Decisions

The VISIT Platform’s reporting and analytics tools give the team at Mössebergs Kurort a clearer picture of how the business is performing, from occupancy forecasts to revenue breakdowns, all in one place.

That visibility has practical value. “Our Black Friday campaign last year gave us a strong start for Q1,” Hampus shares. “The data we had in the PMS helped us fine-tune our offers and monitor results in real time.”

Having reliable data to hand makes it easier to test ideas, track what is working, and adjust plans quickly when needed.

Technology That Supports the Experience, Not the Other Way Around

For Mössebergs Kurort, the goal has never been to let technology take over. It is to use the right tools to protect the time and attention that good hospitality actually requires.

“We’re committed to improving the guest experience at all our properties,” says Hampus. “VISIT helps us achieve that by giving us more time, better tools, and a clearer picture of how we’re doing.”

A 19th-century retreat with a 21st-century operation. For Mössebergs Kurort, the two sit comfortably together.
